The treatment process, step by step

The process begins with a remote evaluation: Dr. Rodríguez Quintero reviews your CBCT scan, panoramic X-ray, and photographs to assess the amount and quality of available bone and to determine whether you need prior grafting or can proceed directly with the implants.
Stage One: implant surgery (Visit 1)
Implant placement is performed under local anesthesia (or sedation if the patient prefers) in a single session. Dr. Rodríguez Quintero positions the Straumann® implants using a digital surgical guide for maximum precision. In All-on-4 / All-on-6 cases, a provisional prosthesis is placed the same day.
Stage two: Osseointegration and final prosthesis

Like a natural tooth, their lifespan depends on many factors, such as the care the patient takes, hygiene, and bone quality.
Quite possibly, yes. Dr. Rodríguez Quintero assesses the available bone volume with a CT scan. In many cases of bone loss, bone grafts or a sinus lift can be performed to generate the bone needed before placing the implants. In others, techniques such as All-on-4 allow full rehabilitation even with reduced bone.
Both techniques replace all the teeth in an arch (upper or lower) with a fixed prosthesis supported by implants. All-on-4 uses 4 strategically angled implants to make the most of the available bone. All-on-6 uses 6 implants for additional force distribution. Dr. Rodríguez Quintero determines the best option for your specific case.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you feel no pain during surgery. Post-operative discomfort is manageable with standard pain relievers during the first 3 to 5 days. Most patients report the discomfort was far less than they expected.
